Thompson’s Memphis store hosted a Cat® Equipment Demo Day in April—the event featured a wide range of machines on display and several types of machines for customers to operate. Demo machines included hydraulic excavators, mini hydraulic excavators, skid steer loaders, and compact track loaders.
A special focus of the customer event was the introduction of Cat’s new Grade Control features for dozers and excavators. Also spotlighted was the Thompson Advantage program of equipment management, service, and E-Business tools which are available to all customers.
Over 100 people, including contractor and governmental
agency personnel, attended Demo Day. In addition to the Cat construction equipment on display, representatives from Thompson’s SiTech Tri-Rivers and Thompson Truck Center were on hand to provide information and demonstrations of their grade control solutions and Glider Truck options, respectively.
Attendees were treated to a hot dog lunch cooked on site by Thompson’s Memphis Service staff, and also received Cat hats and other giveaway items; two lucky visitors won a drawing for special Cat-branded Yeti® tumblers. The Demo Day was the first in a series of demo events that Thompson is planning for its branch locations in 2016.
