Thompson Machinery shares the cost of some benefits with you, while making additional benefits available that you pay for, if you choose to enroll.

Our benefit programs are designed to take full advantage of tax savings under the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) Section 125 regulations. Premiums may be paid on a
pre-tax basis, allowing the health, dental & vision premiums to be deducted before taxes are applied to your wages. Typically, you can expect to save 20-40% on total
taxes for all premiums paid on a Section 125 Plan. Eligible on the first day of the month, following the date of hire.

  • Medical/Hospital/Prescription – Thompson offers medical plans that assure employee and family coverage and services that
    are comprehensive, flexible, and confidential. We offer one medical plan at no cost to the employee.
  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) – Thompson’s HRA is employer funded depending on eligible medical plan.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) – Thompson’s HSA offers an employer contribution to HSA depending on eligible medical plan.
  • Employee Assitance Program (EAP) – Thompson provides all employees a confidential employee assistance program free of charge. EAP includes selfcare, talk space, virtual visits, mental health, lawyer assistance, money coach, and self-learning.
  • Dental Insurance – Good oral health is essential to a healthy life.  With dental coverage, you can take care of your smile easily with access to the nation’s largest network of dentists, comprehensive benefits, exceptional service, and superior value.
  • Vision Insurance – Quality vision care that focuses on employees’ eyes and overall wellness.  Vision coverage will provide great benefits on exams and eyewear at an affordable price.
  • 401k (Retirement Savings) – Thompson Machinery encourages employees to begin planning and saving for their retirement years as early as possible. Newly hired employees are automatically enrolled at 3% gross pay on the first day of the month, following 30 days of date of hire.
  • Profit Sharing – Build a career with Thompson and you will be automatically enrolled into the Profit Sharing Plan after one year of service. Thompson Machinery sets aside a significant amount of before-tax profits each year for profit sharing.
  • Credit Union – To expand an employee’s checking and savings options, Thompson employees have the opportunity to join the CEFCU Credit Union offering reduced rates, payroll deductions and easy access.
  • Christmas Club Savings – To assist in saving for holiday expenses, employees can set aside (after-tax) a portion of each check to a Christmas Club account to ensure the holidays are less financially stressful, complete with interest.
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) – Thompson provides full-time employees with up to 3 weeks of PTO on the first day of the month, following the date of hire. Additional vacation time will increase as service continues.
  • Paid Holidays – Thompson pays the following Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day following Thanksgiving,  and Christmas Day.
  • Floating & Veteran Holiday – All employees get one paid Floating holiday per year. Thompson also recognizes military service by providing a paid Veteran Holiday to all service members. These floating holidays are eligible on the first day of the month, following the hire date.
  • Basic Life Insurance – All full-time Thompson employees are provided with one (1) time their annual salary including commission with a minimal of $50,000 Life Insurance coverage at no cost to the employee.
  • Supplemental Life – Additional Life Insurance coverage can be purchased up to $300,000. Dependent life insurance coverage is available for spouse and child(ren).
  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) – To further protect your family in the event of accidental death or dismemberment; coverage up to $300,000 is available for employee and family.
  • Tool Purchase Assistance – Service Technicians have the opportunity to purchase high-quality hand and air tools at deep discounts from the company and pay back the interest-free loan through payroll deductions.
  • Uniforms – To eliminate wear and tear on personal clothing, eligible employees are provided work uniforms and professional cleaning services.
  • Training & Development – Thompson offers a full range of safety, technical, computer, and leadership training to qualified employees.
  • Drug Free Workplace – For the health and safety of our employees, Thompson maintains a drug-free work place and conducts random drug screening to encourage compliance.
  • Corporate Incentive Program – Incentive bonuses are awarded company-wide to eligible, full-time employees when specific monthly, quarterly, and/or annual goals are achieved.
  • Education/Tuition Reimbursement – Thompson provides reimbursement of tuition for employee’s educational pursuits, provided the education is relevant and beneficial to the business and will enhance the employee’s opportunities for advancement within the Company.
