Credit & Collections Specialist
This role coordinates various credit and collection processes and has responsibility for meeting department goals and expectations.  The position will research and analyze customer credit information, review and approves credit applications, and oversees collection of receivables for assigned departments and locations.  The position supports customers, coworkers, and supervisor requests for accurate data and for efficient resolution of credit and collections related concerns. 
The position will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to provide optimal credit solutions, maximizing the return on business and sales transactions.  The position will report to the Manager of Credit and Collections and will be based in LaVergne (Nashville), Tennessee. 
  • Must have experience in credit and collections.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of finance, economics, or related business field preferred.  A minimum of a high school diploma with 4 years equivalent work experience is required.   
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Provides customers with service requests for account maintenance or assistance.
  • Manages open receivables, including collections, dispute resolution, and posting of funds.
  • Analyzes consumer and business credit reports.
  • Approves and sets up new customer accounts.
