Systems Administrator
Job Profile
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our telecom and network systems, ensuring the efficient and effective use of technology to support our business objectives. The primary responsibility is the design, installation, configuration, and administration of the network infrastructure, network operating systems, and telecom system. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Job Responsibilities:
Network Administration:
- Oversee network architecture, SDWAN, VPN, LAN/WAN/Subnets/IPs/DMZ, dynamic and static routing, network services, DHCP, SNMP, firewall, data switches, Azure IaaS, and our datacenter.
- Install, configure and maintain all network infrastructure hardware and equipment, including firewalls, routers, wireless, switches, hubs, etc.
- Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks to ensure continued, uninterrupted availability of systems.
- Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components and conduct routine on-site preventative maintenance inspections at all branch locations.
- Monitor network performance, analyze logs, troubleshoot issues.
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Document network configuration and procedures.
- Perform regular pentests to identify possible vulnerabilities.
Telecom Administration:
- Manage and maintain communication systems, including physical telecom, voice architecture, routing, DID management, call queues, auto attendants, user registration, security, voicemail, SIP trunking, FAX lines, phone set configuration, and Teams Room administration.
- Provide technical support to end-users.
- Document network configuration and procedures.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 4 years equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools, voice administration, and systems administration.
- Strong, hands-on experience with network security, enterprise firewalls, intrusion detection systems and anti-virus software
- Extensive hands-on technical knowledge of network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Periodic branch travel
- On-call availability
