Territory Salesman – Battery Electric Vehicles – Memphis, TN
The BEV Territory Salesman position will be responsible for the sales of new battery electric trucks within the West Tennessee region.  Individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with truck customers in an assigned territory.  Reporting to the Sales Manager, the position will be based in Memphis and will be responsible for contributing to company goals for profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.  Working with company support resources, will coordinate the delivery of trucks and related parts. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, or related sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience developing, maintaining, and growing an outside territory.
  • Familiarization with trucking and transportation industry, truck parts and service needs, and truck customers.
  • Experience collaborating with truck equipment service, repair, and parts operations.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and manage strong customer relationships with truck owner/operators and with truck and transportation customers.
  • Identify truck customers and document sales contacts and leads.
  • Support the company’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting honesty, integrity, and respect, delivering high quality solutions, and maintaining a positive attitude and safe work practices.
  • Able to function efficiently in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the west Tennessee region.
  • Must have a class A CDL or be willing to acquire one within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Quote battery electric trucks and related products for development of customer sales proposals and presentations.
  • Assist in coordinating and demonstrating battery electric trucks at customer sites or trade shows.
  • Participate in truck equipment shows, demos and workshops.
  • Promote and sell used trucks.
  • Requires minimal to moderate travel, generally within the territory.
  • Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
  • Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

  • Able to work standard five-day schedule, including daily overtime and occasional weekend hours as needed.
  • Meet all eligibility requirements to drive Company vehicles, including a current, valid driver’s license issued by the resident State, and maintain current motor vehicle liability insurance. 
Physical Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment background check, physical exam including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position. 
  • Able to lift 20-50 pounds occasionally.
