Thompson Truck Centers Announces Strategic Realignment of Diesel On-highway Truck Service Operations
Thompson Truck Centers, a division of Thompson Machinery, the local Cat dealer in Middle and West Tennessee, and North Mississippi, announces the closure of its diesel truck service operations in their LaVergne and Memphis, TN locations effective immediately. This news comes as part of a strategic realignment to streamline operations, align resources with evolving market demands, and position the company for future growth.
All on-highway diesel truck engine services will be consolidated to the remaining Thompson Truck Centers locations, and they will continue to offer comprehensive services without interruption.
Thompson remains dedicated to supporting the on-highway truck community with high-quality Cat parts for diesel truck engines, ensuring customers have access to the essential components they need.
“While the decision to close these two on-highway diesel truck service locations was difficult, it allows us to focus our efforts on areas of growth and innovation,” said Keith Peevy, Vice President of Product Support. “We remain committed to providing exceptional service to our customers across all remaining locations.”
Thompson is excited to reaffirm its commitment to the future of transportation by continuing to sell and support Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) trucks. Thompson is proud to be at the forefront of the truck industry’s transformation to zero-emission vehicle solutions.
“We are excited about the opportunities ahead, particularly in the rapidly growing EV and hydrogen truck sectors,” added Daniel Clark, Vice President of Energy Solutions. “This transition underscores our commitment to adapting to industry trends and meeting the needs of our customers.”
