On April 19, Thompson welcomed over 200 attendees to a special Customer Day event at our Columbus, MS location. The event was designed to showcase the store’s extensive renovation, its wide range of equipment for multiple industries, and especially the opening of a new Cat Rental Store operation to serve area customers.
Thompson’s Columbus store has undergone extensive renovations, including expansions to the service area and remodeling of the lobby and customer areas, including a dedicated Cat Rental Store counter and offices. Rental Store Manager Scott Adair, Rental Representative Heath Hill, Rental Coordinator Jordan South, and the entire Columbus Rental staff were on hand to welcome customers and spotlight the new local Rental Store operation and the wide range of rental equipment and tools available in Columbus.
Thompson Machinery Area Sales Manager Tom Simmonds and Machine Sales Representatives Casey Brooks and Pat Peterson showed attendees the next generation of Cat excavators and Cat machines for construction applications. Forestry Sales Representative Neal Davis provided information on Cat’s Forestry equipment product line. Also featured was the line of Massey Ferguson ag tractors – with Thompson Ag Representative Josh Halverson on hand.
Additional displays highlighted power generation equipment from Thompson Power and glider trucks available from Thompson Truck Center.
Attendees enjoyed a BBQ lunch catered by Glenn’s BBQ and Catering, and live music from local musician Jeffrey Rupp. Plus, a wide selection of door prizes was given away to lucky guests.
