We consistently have availability for Cat technician jobs in Tennessee and Mississippi, particularly in our satellite offices. These locations include areas of Mississippi as well as several major cities in Tennessee.

Personal Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays & Floating & Veteran Holiday Thompson provides full time teammates with up to 3 weeks of personal time off. Additional personal time off will increase as years of service continue.

Paid Holidays – Paid Holidays – Thompson pays the following Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day following Thanksgiving, a half day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Floating & Veteran Holiday – All team members get one paid Floating holiday per year. Thompson also recognizes military service by providing a paid Veteran Holiday to all service members. These floating holidays are eligible on the first day of the month, following the hire date.

401k with company match & profit sharing Thompson Machinery encourages team members to begin saving for their retirement and offers a fully-vested match of 100% up to 4% of employee contributions and an additional 50% up to 5% of employee contributions. + -
Basic life, supplemental life insurance, and AD&D Basic Life Insurance – All full-time Thompson team members are provided basic life insurance. Short Term Disability and Long-Term Disability coverage are provided to eligible team members at no cost. Team members may choose to participate in Voluntary Benefits that include Supplemental Life Insurance for team members, spouse and child(ren); Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D); Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance and Hospital Indemnity Insurance. + -

Cat Tool Program, Boot Program & Uniforms Tool Program – Service Technicians can purchase high quality hand and air tools at deep discounts from the company and pay back the interest free loan through payroll deductions.

Boot Program – Thompson provides a yearly amount towards the purchase of work boots.

Uniforms – To eliminate wear and tear on personal clothing, eligible team members are provided work uniforms and professional cleaning services.
