TO BE BETTER IN EVERY ASPECT OF THE JOB.
Stronger Communities video series – Episode 7
“We want to learn to be better in every aspect of the job that we do.”
To the Roots
Tennessee Tree Works LLC has been in operation for almost 6 years, and owner Timmy Reeves has had the opportunity to see his company grow throughout that time. Starting out, the company set up shop in Lexington, TN, doing primarily residential tree work. Since 2019, it has evolved from just tree works to some dirt work, demo work, right of way work, and hazardous tree removal. As they continue to grow, they make sure to stick close to their roots and continue to make an impact in their home community. “We do work for the city, counties, and state primarily,… but we also help with our hometown city of anything they may need,” says Reeves.
Right Equipment for the Right Job
One thing that Timmy Reeves notes is the importance of good equipment, and he states that Cat equipment has been the best for him. “Cat [Equipment] sells itself, and I do feel like it’s the best equipment on the market.” With Cat Equipment, he says, there is a wide variety of pieces and equipment that are available, which makes it easy to stick with one brand and still have everything you need. On top of that, Reeves has found that Thompson Machinery has been able to help him with any machine issue he may have. “If I have a break down, a lot of time I can be going the next day versus work waiting days a week.”
Looking Toward the Future
The future holds a lot for Tennessee Tree Works LLC. While content with the size operation they are, Timmy Reeves states that he wouldn’t mind adding a few more pieces of equipment to their fleet. More importantly, though, he hope that they continue to learn and grow better in the quality of their work. “What I’m looking forward to most for the future is just being better at what we do.” He continues with this idea later saying that he hopes they can “learn to be better in every aspect of the job that we do.”
