Heritage Day is Iuka’s annual festival, and the Car Show is one of its highlights. This year’s event proved to be the biggest yet, with a record 225 entries from four states. The festival and car show bring thousands of visitors to Iuka each year.
Thompson Machinery was one of the sponsors of this year’s show – with a booth hosted by Product Support Sales Representative Donnie Cain. A CAT mini-excavator and skid steer loader were on display. As a sponsor, Thompson also had the opportunity to present one of the “Best In Show” trophies to a Car Show entrant. Our pick was a slick-looking, somewhat rare 1953 Chevrolet station wagon (shown above).
The event is hosted by Wheels of Northeast Mississippi – funds earned from the car show and other events are used to sponsor local high school scholarships and make donations to the American Cancer Society, Boys & Girls Club, and other charities.
