Thompson Machinery welcomed Benton County students to our Camden store on Wednesday, January 9. The Benton County Youth Leadership group toured several local industries, including Thompson, accompanied by Benton County/Camden Chamber of Commerce Director Jenna Cole-Wilson and Benton County UT/TSU Extension Director Heather Deckard Smith. The students included Amber Collins, Thomas Harcleroad, Eyan Hudson, Peyton Johnson, Dalton Lee, Kay Pierce, and Riley Walker.
The group of students from Camden Central High School and Big Sandy High Schools visited the area industries to learn more about what these facilities do on a daily basis. They spent an hour at Thompson Machinery, hosted by Product Support Manager David Griffith. He gave them a tour of the Camden shop, to let them see how our service technicians perform their jobs, and then walked around the yard to see various pieces of Cat Equipment.
David talked with the students to learn more about their interests and reviewed the programs we have available for students looking to join Thompson Machinery. Several of the visiting students indicated they will be researching Thompson careers.
